The horoscope was developed in orded to research specific traits regarding people who were born under the influence of a given sign.
Earthbound and Skybound Signs
There are 7 signs, each one ruling the skies of Erinn at a time. Four constellations, called the earthbound signs, and three celestial bodies, called skybound signs.
Sky Ruling
It is said that a constellation is ruling the sky when it's placed on the middle of the sky. The four constellations are Morthwyl, Cleddyf, Dafad and Bathyn. Around three months a year (Imbolic, Lughnasadh and Samheim) it isn't possible to see any constellations on the sky of Erinn, and at these times, one of the celestial bodies crosses the perfect middle of the sky, and that's when we say the given body is ruling the sky. The three celestial bodies are Palala, Eweca and Ledeca.
Signs
Palala
| Symbol: | The Sun |
| Sky Ruling: | Samheim 38th to Imbolic 39th |
| Favored Occupations: | Music, theatre, mass entertainment and anything dealing with public appearance, applauses and ovation. |
| Color: | Gold |
Palala is the sun which shines above our heads in Erinn. Those who were born under the sign of Palala are inclined to the arts, especially music. They like to be the center of the attentions, and their favorite time is when it’s their turn to play in the campfire. Palalans are considered the luckiest amongst the others, and you’ll find out they really are, especially when they get better loot from the same dungeon you both cleared together. You can’t blame them, it’s just the way they are.
Morthwyl
| Symbol: | The Blacksmith Hammer |
| Sky Ruling: | Imbolic 40th to Alban Eiler 37th |
| Favored Occupations: | They can achieve nearly anything through hard work, but they usually stick to safe activities. |
| Color: | Black and brown |
The blacksmith hammer has always been a symbol of hard work. To Mortwylers, this is also a constant. While other folks rest at night, they’d probably spending time preparing the things for the part-time job they’ll do the following day. And there’s no problem if the employer ask the Morthwyler to do a different task: he’ll be glad he has more things on the stock. They are just the kind of people who like to be prepared. And almost always they are.
Cleddyf
| Symbol: | The Sword |
| Sky Ruling: | Alban Eiler 38th to Baltane 39th |
| Favored Occupations: | Warriors, archers, mercenaries and other jobs that take advantage of slaughtering, crushing and destroying. |
| Color: | Crimson red |
Talking will solve most of your problems. Unless, of course, you’re dealing with a Cleddyfian. To them, there’s no subject that cannot be solved without a good and old brawl. They are always complaining about the lack of arena coins, and how the world would be much better if PVP were enabled on the fields of Tir Chonaill. But don’t mistake them for bad people. They use to have a good heart, but the problem isn’t there. It’s the head that heats too fast.
Dafad
| Symbol: | The Sheep |
| Sky Ruling: | Baltane 40th to Alban Heruin 37th |
| Favored Occupations: | They prefer the freedom of the fields instead of sticking to a job, but Dafadians usually are good farmers and cooks. |
| Color: | Green |
Dafad represents the closest bond to the nature. The grass always seems softer when Dafadians are laid on it, and apples seem to fall off the trees directly to their hands. Altough they have a frail look, you'll be surprised on how many times a Dafadian can get up and stand against the strongest of the dificulties. Since Eweca and it's amazing powers are approaching the center of the sky during Alban Heruin, Dafadians also share a close bond with the magic, but in their own way.
Eweca
| Symbol: | The Magical Moon |
| Sky Ruling: | Alban Heruin 38th to Lughnasadh 40th |
| Favored Occupations: | They are fascinated by mystery, which makes them good scholars, magicians, enchanters and sorcerers. |
| Color: | Blue |
Mystery, mist, night. These things suit perfectly the Ewecans. You’ll often see them wearing heavy robes with hoods. But this is only until Eweca rise. The gloomy moonlight and the mana that cover the fields at night add a special bright to Ewecans’ skin, so they usually walk around that time wearing nothing but the essential. That adds a special sensuality to ewecan mages training their skills before Palala rises. It’s common, yet not mandatory, that Ewecans become magicians. They can chose not to walk this obvious path, but surely everything they do will still have a certain kind of magic…
Bathyn
| Symbol: | The Golden Coin |
| Sky Ruling: | Alban Elved 1st to Samheim 2nd |
| Favored Occupations: | Bankers, salesmen, economists and all the like. They would be interested on anything that pays, unless it's expensive, of course. |
| Color: | Yellow and Ocher |
If you needed a financial counselor, a Bathyner would probably suit the task perfectly. The hard part would be not shooting your head with an arrow after listening to all of his good reasons to not spend a single golden coin you earned grinding Ciar. They would probably need Extra Storage Service just to store more gold, but they’d refuse to pay real-life money for a thing they can have for free. Whether a Bathyner is rich or not is up to the odds, but doubtfully they would share their money in both cases.
Ladeca
| Symbol: | The Forgotten Moon |
| Sky Ruling: | Samheim 3rd to Samheim 37th |
| Favored Occupations: | They are great when it come to backstage work. They will do anything that is not much conspicuous. |
| Color: | Gray |
Ladeca is the third and last of the skybound signs, ruled by the second and mostly underrated moon of Erinn. Ladecans are not said to be the smartest of the zodiac, but this is a bit unfair. This fame has a lot to do with the fact they could have born a day before and earn a year for free. But they are not much into being the cherry of the sundae. They prefer a calm existence and you’ll hardly see a Ladecan advertising anything. They are much more inner focused than the others can figure, and probably you won’t even notice one of them by your side waiting for the moongate to open.
